[You've successfully put up a reasonably sized tent for actual camping near the lake of this Camp Fuck You Die place, putting to use most of Jake's handy adventurer's survival kit. Since that didn't take particularly long, you have spent your time since doing massive research scourging the Network.]

[You're glad to have a base to return to! Strider has done a bang-up job setting things up. You go over the notes you have in your mind regarding your new locale, but you doubt that most of them will be very helpful. Strider probably knows the most important things already.]
GT: What ho strider!
GT: Im back!
no subject
TT: I just fluffed up the pillows.
[You finish reading a passage before the faint glow behind your shades turns off and you lift your head. You've had time to calm down a little, being left few choices and all.]

GT: I come bearing news! Not too much but enough so we can compare notes.
GT: Are you hungry?
no subject
TT: Not particularly.

[You sit on the other bedroll and cross your legs. Story time!]
GT: I managed to find out a bit about the barrier.
GT: Nothing too promising but youll be the final judge of that!

GT: This place used to be somewhere else--a field i think--and the barrier was harder to touch there.
GT: And not only is it keeping us locked tight! It is keeping various rogues on the other side at bay!
GT: People didnt seem too keen on busting the walls because of that.
no subject
TT: That makes it very much a possibility to leave.
no subject
GT: Quite risky isnt it old chum.
GT: And not for us gentlemen adventurer types! For everyone else here.
no subject
TT: Well shit.
no subject
GT: I havent seen any guns so far. Or weapons of any kind.
GT: Miss jennifer doesnt even look to handle a solid scuffle.
[Batgirl told you that this place was both good and bad. You decided to trust the soldier of truth on that one.]
GT: I also learned that the barrier is a timespace doodad that keeps things steady at home.
no subject
TT: I'll look into it.
no subject
GT: Oh!
GT: And i learned that food and supplies are free of charge in the local joints! Thats one less thing to worry about isnt it?
no subject
TT: The Mayor mentioned that.
TT: Have you seen him?
no subject
GT: Yes indeedy! He was part of my welcome wagon.
GT: Is he an alien do you think?
no subject
TT: The kind Roxy lived with in the colonies, or at least along the lines of that type.
TT: You remember him from your dream bubble, I hope.
no subject
GT: I didnt even put that together!
GT: To think something so familiar would be in this place!
[You aren't the only two here! Thank goodness. That means its just a waiting game until Miss Crocker and Miss Lalonde arrive! You are too happy to be embarrassed by your oversight.]

GT: He was dressed as a mayor! Not a derse or prospit person. Besides which i was distracted.
GT: But this doesnt matter because we arent the only people from our homeworld here! Home place. Dimension?
GT: Were not alone strider!
no subject
TT: But I catch your drift.
TT: I can't be the only one kind of unnerved by how content the little guy is with staying in place.
no subject
GT: I dont want to be a smartass either but if the choices were your home and this place i can see how there might be some debate going on.
GT: Your home is your own of course! But this place seems less complicated.

[You casually toss a pillow at your friend, because you're all fucking adults here.]
no subject
GT: That is pretty much the end of my helpful information.
GT: Time doesnt move outside of this place and also we cannot leave.
GT: Something like that anyway! Grains of salt all around.
no subject
TT: I'd be willing to believe this was part of our trial if there weren't so many people.
TT: They actually have their own blogging network.
TT: I'll send you the file once I've archived them all.
TT: There's about six years worth of that crap, though, so don't get too hot and bothered for the infodump just yet.
no subject
GT: I will try not to stay up all night researching.
[You have never done this but it strikes you that it might be fun to try.]
