Every once in a while, though, Camp will decide to override your sense of self-preservation, and today is one of those days. It's exactly what you think when you approach the curious fountain despite yourself, like it's really all that interesting, and something is enhancing your fascination.
You've hung out in this spot enough times to know that the fountain is a new, or temporary addendum to Camp's repertoire, but instead of shrugging it off, you've been drawn in hopelessly. Maybe part of your curiosity is genuine, even. You wonder if touching the surface is going to change you, or if you'll see something in the rippling reflection; the past or future, a wish or fear, a daydream, a nightmare. You wonder what part of your subconscious Camp would choose to pick on, this time.
You bend over the rim and chance a look downward, and just like that, your fascination is gone. From what you can tell, nothing has happened, and frankly, you don't care. You've got places to be and things to do.]
